Original Item. Only One Available. This is an outstandingly scarce piece, a visor for an officer of the Kürassier-Regt. Kaiser Nikolas I. von Rußland (Brandenburgisches) Nr.6 (Brandenburg) III Armee Korps. The visor has a white body with tremendous cornflower blue velvet piping and hat band.
The front of the cap bears a Black, White and Red Reichskokarde (Imperial Cockade) on the front of the crown, with a Black and Silver Cockade on the cap band for Prussia. The exterior is in very well-worn and slightly stained condition with the velvet very well-retained.
The interior shows a well-retained sweatband with a size tag, 7 ⅛. The sweatband retains some of its stitching but there is very heavy loss to the front. The sweat protector is now gone, as is the maker’s mark under it. The sweatband is actually perforated with the owner’s initials, GHP, a great detail.
An outstanding example of a German WWI Visor for a very rare regiment. Ready for further research and display.
