Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is an attractive lot of items found in an Imperial German soldier’s pack and possession during the First World War. They include a set of officer’s shoulder boards, two trench lighters, medals, and more.
The lot includes:
- Set of two Prussian Infantry shoulder boards with 14 numerals, denoting Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 14. White backing and Russia braid.
- Iron Cross 1914 2nd Class with loose ribbon.
- Separate Iron Cross 1914 Second class ribbon.
- Furg Dagerland 1914 Veteran Organization Medal with Wreath and Sword device, medal bar style.
- Iron Cross buttonhole style pin.
- German soldier iron cross ring with phrases and patent stamp.
- Small keychain piece shaped like artillery shell, “GRUSS VON DER FLEISSGEN BERTA”.
- Trench lighter, cylindrical tube with cap, not functional. Cap has British regimental badge.
- Trench lighter shaped like matchbox holder with flower and initials engraved. Not functional.
- “Das Schwert des Generals Hindenburg 1914” saber pin in original leatherette case. A very interesting piece we have never seen before.
- Original period German shipping box, 6 ¾ x 4 x 1 ½”.
