Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great WWI service souvenir commemorating the service of Infanterist Huber, who served in Königlich Bayerische (Kgl. Bayr.) 1. Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment "Augsburg" during World War I. This is a very early frame, as the top reads Weltkrieg 1914/15, meaning this was framed in 1915, the second year of the war.
The unit translates to the Royal Bavarian (Kgl. Bayr.) 1st Landwehr Infantry Regiment "Augsburg". The soldier wears a Bavarian pickelhaube and his head is superimposed onto the body which holds a Gewehr 98, with two soldiers at his sides and a Zeppelin flying in the sky above them.
The frame is in great shape for its age, and this will fit well into any German WWI collection.
