Original Imperial German WWI Carbide Bicycle Head Lamp by Herm. Riemann Phänomen with Period Postcard

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a really phenomenal Phänomen bicycle head lamp manufactured by Herm. Riemann of Chemnitz-Gablenz. Included with the lamp is a period postcard sent by a soldier dated 1915, with a depiction of the exact lamp by the exact same maker. This is a really cool piece to have a period bit of provenance for.
The lamp is in really great displayable condition with the glass well-retained and without any serious oxidation. The plating is all in great shape with a good patina. There is a dial which is likely a timer for how long the light would stay on. The pivot springs that hold the lamp in place are not functional. This lamp is sold for dispaly only and not in functional condition.
A really phenomenal piece of German kit for a bicycle, with a period reference. Comes ready for further research and display.
