Original Imperial German WWI Army Officer Sword with Lion Head Pommel

Original Item: Only One Available. A fine WW1 German Army Officer's Sword fitted with Lion's Head pommel. Single bow knuckle guard and leather grip bound in plaited wire. The high polished nickel-plated blade actually bears maker's markings by under the "langettes" directly in front of the cross guard making identification very difficult.
The grip's back strap is beautifully molded culminating in a dramatic Lion's Head on the pommel. This sword was undoubtedly made in Solingen and comes complete with it's correct all steel scabbard with one carrying ring.
