  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous Pre-WWI embroidered service souvenir commemorating the service of a German soldier. There is a portrait in the center of the soldier in uniform with his uniform & visor cap hand-colored. It measures 14 ¾ x 19 ¼” and reads:

    Ruft einst das Vaterland
    uns wieder
    als Reservist als Landwehrmann
    Solegen wir die Arbeitnieder
Und folgen freu der Fahne dann
    1902 Tamb. Löffler 1904

    If the fatherland
    calls us
again as reservists, as militia members,
then we will lay down our work
and then joyfully follow the flag
    1902 Tamb. Löffler 1904

There are flags for Imperial Germany and the red and black flag denoting Württemberg. The backing material is a very fragile perforated paper and looks beautiful, but this set needs a frame immediately. Great display potential!

    Ready to frame and display.
