  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is an example of the iconic USMC M1912 Dress Blue uniform with their original breeches, along with a French Fourragère cord. All buttons are retained and everything is in fantastic condition. This model of tunic and service cap are integral for any USMC or WWI US Collection. The jacket has a Depot stamp date of 1922-1923, while the breeches have a date of 1924-1925, making this a nice Interwar group.

This is a full M1912 U.S. Marine Corps Uniform, including the M1912 dress tunic & dress breeches. The breeches are stamped twice with H. JENSEN which would identify the group to Herman Jensen, who first enlisted on May 2nd, 1921, serving in several locations & positions, including Observation Squadron One, Naval Air Station, San Diego, Calif, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Third Battalion, Fourth Regiment, Third Brigade, Shanghai, China, Marine Detachment, Uss Asheville, and 196th Company, 8th Regiment, 1st Brigade, Marine Barracks, Port Au Prince, Haiti. This Marine certainly saw extensive service across the 1920s, and this was likely his uniform from 1923 until around 1927 when he was promoted to Corporal. In 1928, he was briefly with the 6th Marine Regiment, which is where he would’ve been authorized to wear the Fourragère cord, but it could have just been added later by a collector.

This is a very lovely uniform grouping, ready for further research and display.
