Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great maker-marked example of the scare Hungarian Combat Leadership badge. The badge was established in 1920 and remained in use until 1944 - practically it was only awarded during WW2. The award of the badges to the qualifying officers took place on September 1st of each year. To qualify for the award, the recipient had to directly, in person, exercise command of a Unit with strength below or equal to the size of a Regiment of Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Armor or Engineers in operational conditions (in combat).
This example retains most of its enamel with some minor wear and chipping. The back shows the two prongs are retained, each stamped:
WALTHER E.
BUDAPEST
A great example, ready for further research and display.
