Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce model of Hungarian bayonet, the M1895 Gendarmerie bayonet. It bears a lovely cruciform blade, and was made in Hungary for the Czech gendarmerie.
The 17 ⅞” blade is in great order without any serious oxidation or edge-nicking. There is no maker’s stamp on this example, but the crossguard is stamped with serial number CS536 next to a crown proof mark. The overall length is 22 ¼”.
The original scabbard is painted black though it may be a repaint. The long frog button is retained and so is the original leather frog.
