Original Item: Only One Available. BHUTAN is a long standing Kingdom tucked away between INDIA and whatis now Chinese TIBET, close to Nepal in the mountainous Himalayas. It is a desolate place with few attractions and as a result was never Colonized. It lies of "The Silk Road" that runs between India and Tibet into China in the East.
The Bhutanese are a very ancient people who have really only recently emerged into the modern World. This is a traditional Bhutanese dagger covered in low quality Silver overall. The Single edged blade is just 4 1/2 " in length, it is overall 7 1/4" long in its heavily embossed and decorated Scabbard. Dating to the 19th Century this was a typical bring back from the Victorian Explorers who search the World for wonders in the late 1800s. Due to age the 2 piece wooden throat of the scabbard is loose, and can be removed.
