Original German WWII Wehrmacht Steel Belt Buckle with Kriegsmarine Marking by B. Haarmann - Dated 1940

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht EM/NCO's Steel Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß), with a Kriegsmarine (Navy) proof mark on the leather gab. The buckle is embossed with the Wehrmacht motto GOT MIT UNS ("God with us") surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. Nice fieldgrey painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The buckle is in good condition, with most of the original paint intact, and the expected wear from service.
The buckle still still retains the leather tab, which is marked:

The leather of the tab is in quite nice shape, however there is some wear and deterioration around the edges. Above the maker name is the NSDAP Eagle over "M", the marking of the German Kriegsmarine (Navy). The organization used buckles that were identical to the Heer (Army), however they were usually painted black. This example is not, but it clearly has the acceptance mark, something we rarely see.
