Original Item: Only One Available. An unusual item to be sure but the soldiers had to pass the time, unlike in the movies there is a lot of down time during wartime and being away from home and lonely was a real problem. There weren't any televisions, so here is an example of the German military officially supplying harmonicas to the troops to help keep the spirits up.
This harmonic is made by and marked HOHNER'S HARMONIKAS inside the box lid and marked M.HOHNER on the instrument together with all the awards received by the M.Hohner Company in 1873 up until 1907.
The underside of the box bears a NSDAP label Dated 1942 with full description of the box contents in German. The instrument appears in fine condition and sounds as if it performs perfectly.
