Original Item: Only One Available. This is a totally original authentic German WWII Wehrmacht Heer Army Camp Flag, measuring a small 16" x 24". This example does not have any type of header sleeve, so it was most likely directly pinned to the pole or other structure it was attached to. The design is essentially a smaller version of the standard NSDAP party flag, with a large Swas (Hook Cross or Swas) in the center of a white circle on a red field. This example feels like it is made from cotton or linen, the standard materials for flags of the period.
The flag is in very good service used condition, with the expected age toning, as well as some larger stains and small tears. This is a flag that really was out there, not just one that sat in a depot and was found by a USGI. The construction is multi-piece, with sewn on white circles with sewn-on swasses on each side, so the flag displays correctly from either direction.
