Item Description
Original Item: One-of-a-kind. Measuring 8 1/2 inches long and 5 3/4 inches tall, this is a relic condition steel construction white and black painted motorcycle license plate. This type would be installed on the top of the rear fender of military motorcycles during the Third Reich period. It is marked with identification number WH-808435, where "WH" stands for "Wehrmacht Heer", so this is a Heer Army issue license plate. The 6 digit registration number indicates WWII issue, while a 5 digit number would indicate pre-war.
The license plate shows decay from being ground dug, with deformation, rusting, and paint loss, however the plate number is still legible, and the paint shows checking from age.. There is still the lower mounting bracket, or at least part of it, however there is no top mounting bracket attached anymore.
A fantastic totally authentic ultra rare example, ready to display!
