Item Description
Original Item: One-of-a-kind. Measuring 12 1/4 inches long and 3 1/2 inches tall, this is a relic condition steel construction white and black painted double sided motorcycle license plate with aluminum trim. This curved type would be installed on the top of the front fender of military motorcycles during the Third Reich period. It is marked with identification number WH-623930, where "WH" stands for "Wehrmacht Heer", so this is a Heer Army issue license plate. The 6 digit registration number indicates WWII issue, while a 5 digit number would indicate pre-war.
The license plate shows decay from being ground dug, with deformation, rusting, and paint loss, however the plate number is still legible on both sides. The plate still has the fender mounting brackets, however they are definitely rusted and bent, with one missing one of the "feet".
A fantastic totally authentic ultra rare example, ready to display!
