  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO's Belt with Painted Steel Buckle (Koppelschloß). The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God with us") surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle inside a double rope border, with oak leaf and acorn branches at the bottom. Nice fieldgrey painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The buckle is in good condition, with probably 80% of the original paint present on the exterior, with the expected wear and light oxidation on the raised areas. The paint is even better on the reverse.

The belt is marked H.A. / 42 by the retaining loop, indicating manufacture by Hermann Aurich of Dresden, Germany. There still is a leather tab on the buckle, though it was manufactured after 1941 when they were discontinued, however the markings were stamped very lightly and are illegible.

The thick leather belt is in very good condition, with the original black finish on the exterior well retained, and looks to have seen less service than the buckle did. It measures about 37.5 inches overall, and has had an inch or two removed from the buckle end and retaining tab, which now has only 5 of the original 7 double holes for length adjustment.

This lovely belt with buckle would be a great addition to any German WWII collection!
