Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition WWII German NSDAP Political National Wimpel (Pennant) Flag, which measures a very large 135 inches (11.52ft.) in fly by 44 inches (3.67ft) in hoist. These were usually flown inside, as it is not quite the weight of fabric needed to survive outdoors, and it it only has small brass rings attached to the header, so we assume it was hung on a wall. It is of all cotton construction, and is single sided with single piece cotton white circle with a printed black swas (hook cross) sewn onto the red field. There is a faint stamped marking near one corner, that we were not able to read.

Condition is very good, showing overall age toning, as well as some smaller stains. We can also see scattered dirt and other small defects like holes indicative of being on display for a long period of time. This would make a great background for a German WWII wall display, once the wrinkles smooth out a bit. Ready to display!

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
