Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is the central portion WWII German National Banner that measures approximately 60 inches wide by 44 inches long. It is of cotton construction, and is double sided with a stitched on multi-piece cotton white circle with a black swass stitched to one side (the reverse side was cut away). The banner appears to have been pulled down then crudely cut, probably with a fitting knife, its also has tears and stains, a true battlefield trophy. The flag was then repaired with original red cotton German flag fabric, and it was pinned for future repair which was never done. The rusty pins are still in place and the stitch repairs can be easily seen which provides more story to this flag and enhances its appeal.
