Original German WWII USGI Captured & Signed Flag with 52 Signatures - 116th Signal Radio Intelligence Company - 40 x 44”

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This lovely 40 x 44” German flag is signed by 52 soldiers of the 116th Signal Radio Intelligence Company within the center swas, most of which also have the soldiers’ addresses. We have found a website with the 1945-printed history of the 116th Signal Radio Intelligence Company, found here, with many photos of the men of the unit, making for a great research project! This flag would look amazing framed with photos of some of the men who signed it!
The flag measures 40 x 44” and is in fair condition. Its header is still attached without any issue. We are unsure what type of flag this was exactly, but the stitching is all period, and there are no doubts to its authenticity. There is one small hole in the very center of the swas with the writing, as well as some staining across. The swas on the back of the flag has no signatures.
We counted 52 signatures, but we may be off by one or two since so many of the signatures have different formatting. This is an excellent example for framing, with tons of research potential. Comes ready for further research and display!
