Original German WWII USGI Bring Back Worn NSDAP National Flag with Approx. 40 Attached Tinnies - 17" x 26"

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This a fantastic USGI Bring Back service worn condition WWII German National Flag, which has over 40 attached "Tinnies", which were small collectors pins from various events and organizations. These range from specific organization events to small animals often distributed to children. There were in fact originally many more attached, however all that remains of some is now the pinback attachment, as the front portion fell off. These were often made from plastic and glued together, so they could be quite delicate.

The flag itself measures 17" in hoist and 26" in fly, and is double sided with a single piece cotton white circles with dyed black Swasses (Hook Crosses) sewn onto both sides. It is now faded, torn, and stained from use, though we do not know if this is from before or after the pins were attached. No maker markings are visible, and there is no provision for hanging the flag, so it was probably one of may small flags distributed and sold to Germans during the pre-war period.

We were not able to identify the majority of the tinnies, but we did see a few that we recognize, which include:

- A German WWII Army Heer Artillery Miniature Flag tinnie
- A HJ National Youth Organization 1935 DEUTSCHES JUGENDFEST (German Youth Festival) tinnie.
- A HJ National Youth Organization 1936 Deutsches Jugendfest (German Youth Festival) tinnie.
- An SA-Gruppe Niederrhein June 1938 Competition in Duisberg tinnie.

This flag is really a fantastic display and research opportunity!!!

When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party.
