Item Description
Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very interesting USGI Bring back scarf from the ETO, made from a German WWII Fallschirmjäger camouflage parachute canopy. The scarf measures approximately 31" x 29" in size, and has had a variety of German WWII items attached to it. We do not know whether these were attached before or after it was brought back, but all definitely show some nice period wear, so we believe they were attached while in Europe, possibly during the occupation.
The scarf has the following items attached to it:
- One German WWII Small Naval Water Sports Flag (Wassersportflagge) measuring 7 1/2" x 12". The Water Sports Vessel flag was introduced on April 6TH 1936 and was mandatory to be flown from all vessels of the Navy Regatta Association, (Marine-Regattaverein), and all Kriegsmarine owned yachts and sailing vessels. The Water Sports Vessel flag was utilized for the duration of the war.
- One German WWII Yellow Embroidered Deutsche Wehrmacht Armband with Depot stamp. These were worn by uniformed personnel from various paramilitary organizations when they were in the service of the armed forces.
- Two German WWII Yellow Mine Warning Flags. These were originally attached to small poles stuck in the ground to let people know about minefields.
- One German WWII Luftwaffe Aluminum Cap Eagle Badge Pin.
- One German WWII Luftwaffe Reed Green HBT Uniform Breast Eagle
- One German WWII Heer Army Embroidered Visor Cap Oak Leaf Wreath and Cockade
- One German WWII Heer Army Embroidered Visor Cap Crown Eagle
- One German WWII 1 October 1938 Commemorative Sudetenland and Czech Conquest Medal Ribbon Pin with Prague Castle Bar.
- One German WWII Luftwaffe Embroidered Officers Breast Eagle.
