Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service used Pre-WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO's Pebbled Aluminum Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß), with the correct leather belt. The buckle is embossed with an early pattern "Droop Tail" Luftwaffe Eagle inside a laurel wreath on the front. Only the earliest Luftwaffe material was marked with this eagle, which later had a tail that extended out more to the left. It is the standard injection molded aluminum "box" pattern with a pebbled texture on the front. The buckle is in very good condition, with the pebbling very well retained, and some of the detail in the eagle present. There is definitely some wear, to be expected on an aluminum buckle that has seen much service.
The buckle is marked on the inside with an interlocking P u C in a diamond, and still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab. This still has the manufacturers marking and date, though it is very faint:

On the other side, it is also stamped with L.B.A., for issue by the Luftwaffebekleidungsamt, which means Air Force Clothing Office. This was only seen in the Pre-WWII and early war days, and makes this buckle very desirable. This same marking is stamped faintly on the belt by the end clip.
The belt itself measures about 35” from end to end, made from thick leather with the standard leather tab with 7 pairs of holes attached to it for size adjustment. The belt was originally black on the exterior, but that has now mostly worn away. It is in very good service worn condition with some small edge tears, and conforms exactly to the early pattern, with an aluminum clip on the end.
The interior bears two "boxed" abbreviated unit markings, which read 11. Ausb. Regt. 41 and 2. Komp.. The unabbreviated unit is 11. Ausbildung Regiment 41, 2. Kompanie, or "2nd Company, 11th Battalion, Training Regiment 41".
Overall a very nice well-marked example of a hard to find WWII German Belt and buckle with lots of patina. Ready to research and display!
