Original German WWII Unissued Luftwaffe Leather Belt with Steel Buckle by H. Aurich - dated 1942

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent unissued near MINT condition WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle on a pebbled central field, surrounded by a wreath. The buckle is of 1940 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, with a dark blue/grey painted finish, which is present on over 95% of the of the buckle exterior, with just a bit of storage wear.

The buckle still still retains the original brown leather tab, which is marked:

H. AURICH
DRESDEN
1942

The leather of the tab pretty much brand new, with just some wear from age, and a bit of cracking where it goes around the prongs. The maker mark is clear, and there is also an "A" trademark logo on the rear, to the left of the eagle.

The belt itself measures about 38” when fully extended, and is marked 95 on one end, for 90cm, which is about 37 inches. The leather tab by the buckle on this example is actually maker marked and dated clearly on the underside:

HRUBY & CO.
HACHENBURG
7 / 1939

There is also a marking 8.39 B.A.Fü embossed onto the inside of the belt, which we believe is a maker or arsenal marking. We have seen it on other belts, but have not been able to ascertain the meaning.

The belt condition is unissued, with minimal wear. Probably the best condition original belt we have ever seen! Overall an excellent unissued example of a hard to find WWII German Belt. Ready to display!
