Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is an outstanding captured German “Welta” 35mm camera which was captured by an American soldier, Sgt. Edward M. Cox, and used during his time in Germany during Occupation. The camera comes in its original leather case which has a great German Silver Grade General Assault Badge attached to the front, likely captured from the same soldier he took the camera from.
There is some damage, but the case is in good order with bending and wear at the bends. The badge is attached via a piece of wire around the eagle’s neck. There is no carry strap.
We couldn’t find much on Sergeant Edward M. Cox, but there is more research to be done. Ready to display!
