Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice condition WWII German National Banner Flag, which measures a very displayable 29½ x 42 inches long. These were used inside buildings, usually hung vertically as a banner. It is of all cotton construction, and is double sided with a single piece cotton white circles with printed black Swasses (Hook Crosses) sewn onto both sides. This example shows extreme damage with a very large portion of the flag missing as shown.
The flag is signed on the white circles as shown. There are a staggering 37 signatures on one side, and 5 on the other side. One signature on the other side is that of Jessica Lee, a performer for the USO during the war.
The flag comes with a packet of the pages of the Individuals decorated for service with the 30th ID with many names highlighted if they signed the flag, including Bronze Star & Purple Heart recipients. There is also a printed page showing Jessica Lee dancing for troops on the front lines in France.
Also included is a 30th ID patch and US 117th Collar disc. This is a great flag that does have some very heavy damage, but it is worthy of further research into many of the individuals.
