Original German WWII Tropical Afrikakorps Web Tab Steel Buckle by Berg und Nolte dated 1942 With Leather Belt - B&N 42

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare totally genuine excellent condition WWII Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) tropical waist belt with correct EM/NCO's Steel Painted Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). This is a strange combination as the buckle has a web tab and is paired with a leather belt.
The buckle is die-stamped steel (magnetic), with a light gray finish. The front of the buckle is embossed with Wehrmacht eagle and motto GOTT MIT UNS (God With Us). Almost all of the original paint remains on both sides of the buckle, with just a few scratches from service. The inside of the buckle is marked with B & N - 42, indicating manufacture by the firm of Berg und Nolte of Lüdenscheid and was made in 1942.
The thick leather belt is in good condition, but has definitely seen wear and use. It measures about 36 inches overall. The belt has the original retaining tab for the buckle, but also has had another added in the middle of the belt. There is a faint 90 marked on the buckle end of the leather, which is probably for 90cm, or 35.4 inches. The belt is a bit stiff, and does have some cracking and deformation.
A very nice example that comes more than ready for further research and display.
