  • Original Item: Only One Available. Original German WW2 "SS" desk telephone with rotary dial and nickel plated brass fittings. A most impressive unit having the old style hand set that had a mouthpiece shaped like a crooked trumpet.

Standing 11" tall this is hard to miss, in fact included is a photocopy of a page from Waffen SS: The Illustrated History, 1923-1945 by Christopher Ailsby showing a photograph of an SS Officer in his black uniform sitting at his desk with precisely this type of telephone at his elbow.

The hand set bears no visible markings from the exterior however on the underside of the unit itself there is a plaque showing the maker's code of RTV and nu.33428 and then another hand written in pen number "12344". There is also a very clear SS stamping on the plaque. The rear of the phone has two large nickel plated bells which emitted a fearful racket when the phone was called. A very rare piece of original WW2 "SS" equipment that very rarely ever comes to market.
