Original Item: Only One Available. A wonderful personal photo album, marked on the front with an art deco style of shapes. Inside the front cover is the standard Kriegserinnerungen War Memories message which appears to have been removed from another album. The back does not have a visible maker mark, and the album overall measures approximately 13” x 9 ⅜”.
The first page states that the album is of the Southern France area and Atlantic Area from 1940 to 1941. There are photos of all types of military manner from formations, award ceremonies, guard duty, soldiers on leave at bars and more. Some of the more interesting photos consist of allied aircraft wreckage including what appears to be British and Russian. There are also photos of destroyed Soviet tanks as well as German Panzers “in action” rolling down a street. Each page is separated by the standard Onion Paper to protect the images on the pages.
This lovely album is ready to be translated and displayed!
