Original German WWII Snare Drum Captured by 325th Glider Infantry Regiment Veteran with Decal & Field-Made Splinter Camouflage Cover

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a tremendous captured piece perfect for the Airborne collector. This German snare drum with ordnance tan paint bears a period-applied decal of the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, denoting its capture. It comes with a great but torn field-made drum cover made from splinter camouflage material, likely from a zeltbahn or shelter half.
The drum measures 14 ¼” in diameter including the bars on the sides. The skins are both unbroken and original, showing good period use. The tension springs are now inside of the drum and not properly secured.
The 325th GIR decal depicts a falcon with boxing gloves in front of a glider & parachute with the 325th’s DI on his chest, over the word FALCONS. 325th is over the parachute but the decal is worn in that area so it’s hard to make out. The decal measures roughly 3 ½” in diameter.
The splinter camouflage cover has tearing and is missing some of the buttons as shown. The buttons are embossed Zeus and are German in origin. There are several small holes but the cover complements the drum very well.
