Original German WWII Set of Two Brown Leather Mauser 98k Triple Pouches - dated 1938 & 1939

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice set of two WWII German brown pebble-grain leather triple ammunition pouches, designed to hold stripper clips for the Mauser k98K rifle. This was the standard German infantry rifle throughout WWII. These pouches would be attached to the waist belt, and would be attached to combat suspenders using the "D" rings on the back. Each pocket holds two stripper clips of 5 rounds, so combined these hold 12 stripper clips, for 60 rounds.

Both pouches are in very  good lightly used condition, and do not have any stitching or leather issues. Both are still in the original brown leather color, with a bit of color darkening from age and use. The internal separators are still present in all pouches, and all of the early pattern aluminum rivets and snaps are sound. Both are fitted with aluminum D-rings on the back, and aluminum rivet studs on the bottom.

Both are marked and dated on the back, one with HEINRICH SOHN / NEU ULM / 1938 and the other with C. BUDISCHOWSKY / WIEN / 1939. The pebble grain leather does not mark well, so finding two pouches that are both marked and dated clearly is quite rare.

This is a great chance to get a very nice set of original pouches, marked and dated in the early WWII period. Ready to display with your 98K rifle!
