Original Item: Only One Set of Three Available. This is a very nice set of three small German WWII NSDAP Wimpelen (Pennants) , which show a lovely variety of construction and hanging styles. Smaller pennants like these were often hung from residences, vehicles, and other places not suitable for a larger flag.

The smallest of the pennants measures 5"in hoist by 8 5/8" in fly, and is made from two pieces of red fabric sewn together. Both sides have a stitched on insignia consisting of a white circle with a black swas made from two pieces of folded and stitched material. It has rusted hanger split rings at the corners, attached by stitching.

The middle pennant in size measures 6 1/4"in hoist by 10" in fly, and is made from a single piece red field with folded and stitched edges. Both sides have a stitched on insignia consisting of a white circle with a printed black swas. It has a narrow folded over header surrounding a thin twine halyard.

The largest of the pennants measures 7 3/8"in hoist by 9 3/4" in fly, and is made from two pieces of red fabric sewn together, with an additional header sleeve sewn onto the hoist side. Both sides have a stitched on insignia consisting of a white circle with a printed black swas.

All three show late wear and staining from service, and present very nicely, showing no major damage.

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the NSDAP Party, was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.

The party's last leader, Adolf AH, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. AH rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.
