Original German WWII Set of Nine 9 ½" × 13 ½" NSDAP Wochenspruch Weekly Propaganda Posters - Most Dated 1942 and 1943

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set of Nine Available. The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.

While they had been in power since 1933, as the war progressed, there was constant propaganda from the NSDAP leadership to maintain power and morale within Germany. This became especially important as the tides of war turned against Germany, who was by late 1942 beset on multiple fronts, particularly in North Africa. The NSDAP issued many WOCHENSPRUCH DER NSDAP (Weekly Saying of the NSDAP) posters, which would have various quote attributed to leaders of the NSDAP such as Adolf H, Joseph Goebbels, as well as famous German historical figures such as Theodor Körner.

This is a very nice set of nine propaganda posters, eight of which are part of the weekly series. They all measure approximately 9 ½" × 13 ½", and the weekly series posters all have the original date and publishing information at the bottom. There is also a very nice sheet included that gives basic translations of all of the posters. Condition of the posters is very good, with the expected discoloring due to age, as well as some corner tearing and bending.

Definitely a very nice set more than worthy of further research! Ready to display!
