  • Original Items: Only One Set of Two Available. Here we have a very nice wooden-handle document stamps from WWII Germany, which were used for the approval of various documents during the war. Three of these are the standard rubber ink stamps, but one is actually a brass wax seal stamp. This set really helps show the variety of various stamps used during the war.

    The set consists of:
    ● One small black rubber ink stamp, measuring 2 5/8" in height, which reads Entwurf (Draft) in German "Black Letter" typeface.

    ● One small natural finished rubber ink stamp, measuring 2 3/4" in height, which has a rectangular border around following text in German "black letter" typeface:

    SA-Wehrabz
    Prüfer
    20661

This translates to "SA Military Badge Examiner / Tester" and gives their reference number.

    ● One red finished circular rubber ink stamp, measuring 2 5/8" in height, which has a circular border with the insignia of the NSRKB National Socialist State Veteran's Association in the center, over the following "black letter" text:

    Kameradſchaft der
    Artillerie u. Kavallerie
    Oberhauſsen-Sterkrade

This translates to "Kameradſchaft der Artillerie u. Kavallerie Oberhauſsen-Sterkrade", which would have been one of the units of the veterans association.

    ● One unfinished circular brass wax seal stamp, measuring 4 3/8" in height with a circular brass piece on the bottom marked number 1313. This has an NSDAP Reichsadler in the middle, with text around the outside, which reads:

    GENERALGOUVERNEMENT

DER KOMMANDEUR DER GENDARMERIE IM DISTRIKT LUBLIN

This translates to "General Government of the Commander of the Gendarmerie in the Lublin District", which would relate to the commander of police in the Lublin District of Occuplied Poland, which was ruled by the "General Government" after it was invaded by Germany, Slovakia, and Russia in 1939.

A great set of German WWII stamps, full of research potential!
