  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great "salty" service worn WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO's Belt with a lovely well patinated Steel Buckle (Koppelschloß). The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOT MIT UNS ("God with us") surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. The buckle a nice 1940 pattern olive painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The paint on the exterior has mostly worn away, replaced with an oxidized patina. Much more is present on the reverse, which is also nicely stamped with maker mark R. S. & S., for R. Sieper & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, Germany, a city with a very large garment accessories industry.

Amazingly, the buckle retains the Pre-1941leather tab, which still has a legible maker mark on the reverse:

    R. SIEPER & SÖHNE
    1040
    LÜDENSCHEID

The belt itself measures about 34” in overall length, and definitely shows significant wear from service. The exterior black finish is worn, and the leather is now stiff and cracking a bit on the inside. It also looks to have been shortened by moving the leather adjustment tab about 6 3/4".

A lovely service used example of WWII German Heer (Army) Belt, which saw long use during WWII, almost to the point of destruction. Ready to display!
