Original German WWII Service Worn Mid-War NSDAP Party Multi-Piece Construction Armband

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice Original German WWII Mid-War Style National Socialist Party Armband, brought home by a U.S.G.I. after the war. The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the NSDAP Party, was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.

The party's last leader, AH, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. AH rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.

This standard armband was worn by members, and was also worn by many service members and other personnel during the war. It is in service worn condition, with some stains and age related degradation, as well as some repairs and staining. The armband measures approximately 17" x 4 1/8", and atone point it may have been sewn together at the ends, but presently it is not. The armband is of multi-piece construction, unlike later variants, which were printed onto the fabric. The Swas (Hook Cross) is made from two pieces of cloth, folded and sewn to the white background, which is a separate piece as well. This is sewn to the standard red background.

This is a very nice service used example of a mid-war NSDAP multi piece Party Armband, ready to add to your collection!
