  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service worn German WWII Heer Army Deputy Air Defense Leader's Ärmelbinde (Armband), as often worn by Army flak gunners, brought home by a U.S.G.I. after the war. The armband is made from white cotton, with four blue rayon Tresse strips sewn onto it, two horizontally around the circumference, and two vertically. The two vertical stripes indicated that the wearer was the "deputy" leader, while the leader armband had only the horizontal strips. In the center is a lovely BeVo machine embroidered Heer Reichsadler (National Eagle), made from white and black threads.

It is in service worn condition, with some staining and much age-related degradation. This is definitely an armband that saw long service in the field, and was possibly recovered from the field. It measures approximately 14 1/2" x 3 3/4", and is definitely in delicate condition.

This is a very rare service used Heer Air Defense armband, ready to add to your collection!
