Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great "salty" service worn WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO's Belt with a lovely well patinated Steel Buckle (Koppelschloß). The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOT MIT UNS ("God with us") surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. The buckle is a nice 1940 pattern olive painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The paint on the exterior is retained at about 75%, with the raised areas and edges showing paint loss and oxidation. The reverse is in a similar condition. The buckle still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab, however the marking is faded, so all we can make out is a 1940 date. There is however another marking we can see: Eagle / M, the Kriegsmarine acceptance stamp. It is possible that this was actually used by the Navy Costal Artillery during the war. Definitely some interesting research potential.
The belt itself measures about 38” in overall length, and definitely shows significant wear from service. The exterior black finish is worn, and the leather is now somewhat stiff, however it does not show any major cracking or other issues.
