Original Item: Only One Available. A Third Reich period DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) German Red Cross Helferin (Helper) badge in silvered and painted feinzink; the obverse with a white medallion and a red cross in the center, with a black border inscribed Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Helferin. "Helferin" means helper nurse or volunteer to the Red Cross, a badge for women. The reverse plain, with a horizontal pin back. Painted versions of this badge are far more rare than the enamel, making this a a nice little addition to any WW2 German collection.
