Original Items. Only One Lot Available. Psychological warfare leaflets were often produced by Germany during World War II and aimed at United States troops, these being great examples. This is a great lot of three iconic leaflets dropped on American soldiers by Germans during WWII.

They include:
- “Life & Death Magazine” leaflet mimicking 'Life' magazine covers, designed to undermine the morale of Allied forces in Italy, 1944. The alternative being offered to US service personnel is life, represented by the portrait of an almost naked young woman, and death, represented by a skull wearing a US steel helmet. Other variants involved more explicit images and some targeted British and Commonwealth soldiers. Measures 5 ⅞ x 8 ¼”. Has two small tabs on the death side, likely from being in a scrapbook.

- “Two Important Points” illustrated as a woman’s breasts. Point 1 is “What chance have you to get home alive?” and Point 2 is “And if you get home what are you facing?” The back of the leaflet shows the answers to these, that their chances of returning home are very slim. Measures 4 x 5 ¾”.

- “What about calling up Sam Levy?” This leaflet depicts a woman calling up another man who did not go overseas to “go out and have a good time” while Joe is on the front. “There’s so little chance of Joe coming home. Well, I guess I’ll just give Sam a call, he’ll take me out.” The back goes into detail, You have a date with death, your girl has a date with Sam Levy.” Measures 4 x 6”.
