Original German WWII Prisoner of War Paperwork Group with U.S. POW Forms & Index Card - Karl Schulz

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a great German POW paperwork grouping for a captured German soldier who served several years in several American Prisoner of War camps. The group is named to Unteroffizier Karl Schulz, who was captured in Africa on May 9th, 1943.
The items include:
- Basic Personnel Record (Alien Enemy or POW) for Schulz. Denotes internment serial number as D743404 and arrived at Fort Leonard Wood Internment Camp on July 12th, 1943. All his fingerprints were taken and the back of the record shows more of his information and his prison transfers. He refused to give his serial number and was held at Ft. Leonard Wood, Camp Ellis, Camp Grant, Camp Ellis again, Camp Clark, and finally Camp Bowie in Texas. 8 x 8”
- Prisoner of War Index Card with two photographs of Schulz, front and side. Dated February 7th, 1947. The back shows his transfers from 1946-1947, and finally his repatriation on April 20th, 1947. 7¼ x 8”.
- Small card showing his transfers during 1945-1946, to Camp J.T. Robinson and embarking aboard the “Gustavus Adolphus Victory”. 8 x 3¼”.
- Prisoner of War Information card filled out upon his return to Europe, where he was held by the British. Shows he was captured in Afrika, was in the 22nd Division, and the other side has 6 different stamps from his transfer to other POW camps. Great piece. 5½ x 9¾” when unfolded.
- Postcard photo of Rommel, unposted.
