Original German WWII Post War Assembled Helmet Cover Made From Platanenmuster Plane Tree Camouflage

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a fantastic post war assembled Waffen SS Style helmet cover, made from German WWII Waffen-SS specific "Plane tree pattern" (Platanenmuster) reversible camouflage fabric, which was in use 1937–1944. There were quantities of the material found after the war, as well as left over zeltbahns, which were then used to make examples such as this. It has the correct three spring loaded hooks, which are dual sided to allow use of either side of the printed fabric. It is in very good condition, showing some pinprick holes to the fabric, though we do not know if they occurred before or after the cover was made.
Originals of these are virtually unobtainable and nearly priceless, so this post war made example would be a great way to fill a hole in your German WWII collection!
