Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Polizei (Police) NCO's Pebbled Aluminum Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with a central swas (hook cross), with a wreath around it bearing the motto Gott mit uns (God with us). Nice single piece injection molded aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very good condition, with all the pebbling in good condition, and most of the details in the wreath still present. The buckle has a maker mark on the back by the blip with an overlapping G B monogram, the maker mark of Gustav Brehmer of Markneukirchen.
The belt itself measures about 36” when fully extended, and does show wear from long service. The leather is solid, with no tears or major cracks, but definitely shows deterioration from age. It also was shortened by about 4 inches by moving the leather attachment tab, and having the end cut down. The black lack leather indicates the belt was for the Ordnungspolizei (Order Police), the Schutzpolizei (Protection Police), or the Gemeindepolizei (Local Municipal Police), personnel.
Overall a great example of a hard to find WW2 German Belt.
