  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great example of the second type Patronenkasten 36 ammunition box for the MG34. This type was designed to be used in conjunction with the Zwillingssockel twin MG34 anti-aircraft setup.


    The canister is stamped to the side brc / 41 for 1941 manufacture by Fr. Weber & Co., Berlin SO36, Graetzstrasse 68. They were originally a manufacturer of lamps and lanterns, but their marking has also been found on shells and other ordnance, indicating that towards the end of the war they were probably pressed into service making explosives.


    The latch still works well and the canister has what appears to be the original paint. There is an old museum catalog tag on the bottom.
