Original German WWII Panzerfaust 60m Inert Anti-Tank Rocket and Launcher - Restored Paint & Markings

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. The Panzerfaust 60m Gross ("large") or Faustpatrone (Translated literally to mean: Tank Fist Large) was the third version of the Panzerfaust. This was the most common version, with production starting in September 1944. It had a much more practical range of 60 m (66 yd), although with a muzzle velocity of only 45 m (148 ft) per second it would take 1.3 seconds for the warhead to reach a tank at that range. To achieve the higher velocity, the tube diameter was increased to 5 cm (2.0 in) and 134 g (4.7 oz) of propellant used. It also had an improved flip-up rear sight and trigger mechanism. The weapon now weighed 6.1 kg (13 lb). It could defeat 200 mm (7.9 in) of armor.

This ingenious throw away Rocket and Launcher was one of the last ditch anti-tank weapons adopted by the German Military to try and repel the invading Allies on both the Eastern and Western fronts.

This example has been demilitarized according to specifications by the BATF. It was then repainted and has had all markings and even the warhead label replicated and restored. The original leaf sight and trigger assembly is also still present, though the hinge pin for the trigger is missing. The original rocket is complete including the wooden tail section, though unfortunately the metal fins rusted away long ago, and only pieces are still attached.

This is a very rare example and your chance to own an original Panzerfaust 60m launcher and Rocket set!
