Original Item: Only One Set of Two Available. This is a very nice set of two small German WWII NSDAP Wimpelen (Pennants), which show a lovely condition progression due to use. Smaller pennants like these were often hung from residences, vehicles, and other places not suitable for a larger flag.

Both pennants are of the same multi-piece design, made from two piece of red fabric sewn together, with white circles on the sides bearing black swas's made from two piece of folded and sewn on fabric. They both also have plated metal split rings attached to the corners at the header end. The smaller pennant measures 5" in hoist by 8 7/8" in fly, and shows stains, age toning, small holes, and other wear consistent with service. The split rings also show some oxidation and damage. The larger pennant measures 5 1/8" in hoist by 9 1/2" in fly, and looks almost unused, with only some light age toning and wrinkles keeping it from being "like new". We rarely get in sets that exemplify the typical condition progression of pennants and flags in service.

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the NSDAP Party, was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.

The party's last leader, Adolf AH, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. AH rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.
