Original Item: Only One Set Available. This is an original German WWII pair of small NSDAP Wimpel pennant flags, both double sided and showing attractive service wear. Each is of multi-piece textile construction and retains hollow brass suspension rings sewn to the corners along the hoist for attachment.

The smaller pennant measures approximately:

6" hoist x 9" fly

It is constructed from two pieces of fabric sewn together, with the NSDAP national flag design printed on both sides. The design consists of a red field with a white central disc enclosing a black swas. The colors remain relatively well retained. Rust staining is present across the white areas on both sides and extends into portions of the surrounding red field. There are no major tears, holes, or other structural damage noted, only expected wear from age and use.

The longer pennant measures approximately:

5 3/4" hoist x 11 1/2" fly

It is constructed from two pieces of red fabric sewn together. Each side has a separately applied white disc with a black swas formed from two pieces of folded and stitched fabric. The colors remain very well retained, with light age toning and worked in surface dirt. No major staining, tears, holes, or other significant damage are noted.

Both pennants retain their hollow brass suspension rings at the hoist corners and remain complete in their present configuration.

Overall condition is very good, with both pieces showing honest age and use while retaining strong color and intact construction. The rust staining to the 6" x 9" example and the light toning and surface dirt to the 5 3/4" x 11 1/2" example are fully disclosed.

With their small format, double sided construction, contrasting printed and applied insignia techniques, and surviving brass suspension rings, this pair is an interesting matched grouping of German WWII NSDAP pennants. They would fit especially well in a German political flag, small format textile, vehicle or building pennant, or advanced WWII flag collection.
