Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a wonderful Army Gebirgsjäger Mountain Troop enlisted man’s personal photo album that appears to document the German occupation of Krakow and Poland in WW2. Attached to the book is a small orange bakelite medallion that reads KRAKAU with a swas. The medallion is a 1 year anniversary memento of the invasion of Poland in 1939. Throughout the book there are postage stamps and ink stamps from 1941,1942,1943 for the NSDAP in the with Krakau (emblem over the Barbican, sword, torch) commemorating the anniversaries of the formation of the National Socialist German Workers Party in the General Government in Poland

There are multiple photos of Gebirgsjägers, snowy landscapes, mountains, graves, groups of soldiers, trucks, what appears to be a building in Krakow and much more. The cover of the book is carved wood showing what appears to be a Polish church with flowers. The back cover is wood and carved with a design and reads KRAKAU 1941. The book is 14 pages in length with 30+ photos (some dated as early as 1940) postcards, postage stamps and official government ink stamps. A very interesting little album commemorating a German soldier’s time in Poland.
