  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a high quality rare example of a WWII German NSDAP National Socialist Rigid Flag Car / Automobile / Vehicle Wimpel (Pennant) on its original flag-pole and vehicle clamp. The clamp looks like it could be attached to the fender of an automobile or other vehicle, or maybe even possibly at the top of a window. The pole unscrews from the base clamp, so the pennant could be easily removed when not in use.

The pennant is double sided and is of multi-piece cotton construction with tight stitching and a great aged look, measuring 7 1/2" in hoist by 11 3/4" in fly. The design is the standard red field with a stitched on white circles bearing the NSDAP Swas (Hook Cross), which are machine embroidered into the white circles. The pennant has a twisted white rope border, and a black canvas header. This has an internal halyard that terminates in a loop with an attached clip at the top, and with a long tie at the bottom.

The flagpole is aluminum and has a simple machined in finial, and just below that is a steel s-ring where the top clip from the pennant is attached. There is solid wire wrapped around the bottom of the pole to make a loop where the lower tie is attached to. The bottom steel clamp has two hex bolts, which are used to secure it to the vehicle. The pole measures 13 1/2" in total length, with the aluminum pole measuring 11 1/2".

The pennant shows use and some staining, with a bit of worked in dirt. The stitchwork on the pennant is very impressive and makes for a stunning display. It hangs very naturally on the pole, and moves around easily. Highly impressive and loaded with eye appeal, this is sure to make a great addition to any collection!

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the NSDAP Party, was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.

The party's last leader, Adolf AH, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. AH rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.
