This is a high quality rare example of a WWII German NSDAP National Flag Car / Automobile / Vehicle Wimpel (Pennant), which would have been flown on a small staff attached to the fender of the automobile or other vehicle. It is double sided and is of multi-piece cotton construction with heavy tight stitching and a canvas header, which has a halyard inside terminating in two attachment loops. Design is the standard red field with a white circle bearing the NSDAP Swas (Hook Cross), with a white border on each side.

The pennant is in very good condition, however it definitely was in use and/or on display for some time, which has faded the red fabric on both sides, with one side showing more fading than the other. There is also a bit of light staining in areas. We can see the remains of an original RZM tag on the header of the more faded side. The pennant measures approximately 9 inches in hoist and 17 inches in fly.
