Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good example of a WWII German NSDAP National Flag Car / Automobile / Vehicle Wimpel (Pennant) and mounting pole, which would be attached to the fender of the automobile or other vehicle. It is double sided and looks to be made of printed fabric or paper between two pieces of plastic. Design is the standard red field with a white circle bearing the NSDAP Swas (Hook Cross).
The pennant shows light use and some staining,, and the plastic on either side has definitely yellowed. There also looks to maybe have been some water penetration on both sides, which has left a residue under the plastic. The pennant measures approximately 8 1/2 inches in hoist and 13 inches in fly, and is encased in a chrome plated frame. This is itself attached to an aluminum pole, which would be mounted to the vehicle. The entire pennant is non magnetic, so it would not have any issues with rusting in the weather.
Highly impressive and loaded with eye appeal, this is sure to make a great addition to any collection!
The National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the NSDAP Party, was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.
The party's last leader, Adolf AH, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. AH rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.
